Semarang – In order to ensure the quality of globally competitive graduates, the Civil Infrastructure Engineering and Architectural Design Study Program, Vocational School of Diponegoro University (Undip), invited external examiners from various well-known universities abroad. This activity was carried out in a series of students’ Final Assignment hearings in the June 2025 period.
The three international academics involved as external examiners are:
Assoc. Prof. Asrul Mahjuddin Ressang from Universiti Malaya,
Dr. Azmal bin Sabil from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), and
Dr. Atta Idrawani bin Zaini from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS).
The presence of these external examiners is part of the Study Program’s strategic efforts to adopt international standards in the academic process and expand cross-country collaborative networks. The Head of the Study Program, Asri Nurdiana, S.T., M.T., said that this activity is a real implementation of international cooperation that has been well established so far. He also hopes that similar cooperation can continue to be improved in various forms, so that the quality of graduates can be more competitive, not only at the national level but also internationally. “By involving external examiners from abroad, we want to ensure that our students are evaluated with a global perspective and can meet competency expectations in the international arena,” he said. This step is in line with the commitment of the Undip Vocational School to encourage the internationalization of vocational education and produce graduates who are ready to face professional challenges globally.
