Rifqy Anggoro S, a member of the DIPOGAMA team, said that in the new normal era, there were many crowds that created new clusters in the spread of COVID-19, especially in shopping places, cafes and tourist attractions. This is a concern for all circles, where health protocols are also starting to be ignored. So with this problem, an idea emerged to prevent and minimize crowds in several related case study places, namely an IoT-based application with the name UNCROWD.

“This mobile application work system has working principles such as an online booking application, by utilizing IoT (Internet of Things), so that consumers who want to visit malls, tourist attractions, or cafes can find out the number of visitors there. Consumers are required to make an online booking first, then scan the barcode at the destination to activate the 3 hour timer for activities at that place. This can help the government in tracking down if there are visitors who have a positive indication of COVID-19 so that we know who was in contact with the PDP before and after visiting the place. The application automatically sends a notification when there is 10 minutes remaining and if it exceeds the time limit, it will be subject to a fine of Rp. 100,000 per hour which will be allocated for handling COVID-19 in Indonesia, “said Sheva Alviano A, the DIPOGAMA team leader. Therefore, it is hoped that this innovation can be developed again to get maximum data and results. In addition, the need for government support to realize this innovation is expected to help the government move the wheels of the economy in Indonesia in the current new normal era.
