In expanding insight and knowledge in the field of green architecture, Friday, 03 May 2024 at the Meeting Room, Fl. 4 SV Tembalang, Vocational School Civil Infrastructure Engineering and Architectural Design Study Program has held a Public Lecture with the theme “Green Building and Green Building Certification Requirements” by presenting guest speaker Ferry Firmawan, S.T., M.T., PhD. Administrator of the DPD ASDAMKINDO Central Java Province and Deputy Dean 1 for Academic Affairs, Faculty of Engineering, University of Semarang.
Green Building is a development concept that focuses on the efficient use of resources and reducing negative impacts on the environment. Green building principles cover all aspects, including energy efficiency, choosing environmentally friendly building materials, and improving indoor air quality. Green building certification has several benefits, including reducing excess energy consumption, increasing comfort and productivity, increasing building assets and value, and encouraging sustainable development.
After attending this public lecture on the theme of green architecture, the benefits given to students are providing an understanding of the concepts, principles and benefits of green buildings and encouraging students to develop in the design, planning and management of green building projects.
