UNDIP Team II KKN Students Design BUMDES Office to Develop Village Agricultural Economy

Pekalongan (08/13/2024) – Blimbingwuluh Village is one of the rice-producing villages in the Pekalongan Regency. This can be seen from most of its population working as farmers and the vast rice fields. Unsurprisingly, the agricultural sector, besides the tempeh industry, is the biggest driver of the village economy. However, in the agricultural production process, farmers face several problems, including difficulty marketing agricultural products to the market and the price of farming needs, which tend to be unstable. To overcome this, it is necessary to form a Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDES) that manages the village’s agricultural products and agricultural production needs.

Currently, Blimbingwuluh Village has a BUMDES Mitra Gemilang, which manages and provides agricultural products in the village, but in its operations, this BUMDES still needs a centralized office. Therefore, UNDIP Team II 2024 KKN students planned the design and RAB of the BUMDES Office. Erwin Naufal Adrian Tundjungseto, a Civil Infrastructure Engineering and Architectural Design Department student at the Faculty of Vocational Schools, created this office design. This planning design comprises the required Detail Engineering Design (DED) and Budget Plan (RAB).

This office is 9 meters long and 9 meters wide and has a 0.3-meter terrace. Inside is a shop connected to the warehouse space, and next to it is a living room, office space, and bathroom. Architecturally, this building has a minimalist concept, prioritizing its function, making it easier to build because of its simple shape. The plan is for this office to be built in Dukuh Wuluh Tengah, next to the Panembahan Angling Joyo Kusumo Mushola.

Based on the results of an interview with Mr. Rudi, the Head of Dukuh Saren Hamlet, the construction of this BUMDES office has been a plan for the village for the next few years. Meanwhile, according to the Head of Blimbingwuluh Village, Mr. Riyanto, the design of the BUMDES office will make it easier for the village to start construction and be a reference when the construction process is carried out.

After the design was completed, the design documents and RAB were submitted to Mr. Bambang Heri Purnomo, the Head of General Affairs and Planning for Blimbingwuluh Village, on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. Team II of the 2024 UNDIP KKN hopes that with the DED and RAB design of the BUMDES office, village officials can more easily build the BUMDES office in the future. In addition, after this office is completed, BUMDES operations can increase in serving agricultural production in the village.
