Access to clean water is a fundamental integrity in everyday life and an important component in development. Sustainable development goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation. Given the importance of access to drinking water, synergistic collaboration between government and academic institutions is essential in building a sustainable water supply for the community.
Blora, a Regency in Central Java Province which is currently experiencing severe drought which is causing a shortage of clean water for daily life. As a responsive step, the Blora Government has begun cooperation with Diponegoro University to address the water scarcity, especially in Sambongrejo Village, Sambong District. Undip has provided assistance in the form of a water purifier that can produce drinking water for the community. Meanwhile, the right design is needed so that water production can function as proper drinking water. Through the Civil Infrastructure Engineering and Architectural Design Study Program, the Vocational School of Diponegoro University, offers support for the renovation of production spaces/units and ensures effective services to the community. The expected outcome of this community service project is to provide comprehensive services through renovation support such as providing technical drawings, budget planning, and ongoing renovation work. This support aims to ensure the renovation process runs effectively and efficiently. By providing detailed technical drawings, the project will provide specific details regarding size, materials, and understanding the proposed changes. In addition, proper budget planning will help allocate resources wisely and ensure that the project continues to run. Meanwhile, ongoing monitoring throughout the project will aim to ensure that construction is in accordance with the established plan. Ultimately, this proposed project will aim to create a clean and sustainable drinking water resource for the surrounding community.
