Semarang, February 25, 2025 – Diponegoro University (Undip) Vocational School and the Faculty of Nature Bina Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) officially signed a memorandum of understanding (Letter of Intent/LoI) to strengthen academic cooperation between the two institutions. The signing ceremony took place on February 25, 2025, at the Undip Vocational School and was witnessed by the leaders of both universities.
The LoI was signed by the Dean of the Undip Vocational School, Prof. Dr. Ir. Budiyono, and the Faculty of Nature Bina UNIMAS, Dr. Atta Indrawani bin Zaini. Also present at the event were Ts Sr Wan Suhana binti Abdullah Saimi, Deputy Dean (Undergraduate) of the Faculty of Nature Bina UNIMAS, and Asri Nurdiana, S.T., M.T., Head of the Civil and Planning Department of the Undip Vocational School.
This collaboration covers the Tri Dharma of Higher Education: education, research, and community service. With this agreement, it is hoped that both universities can support each other in developing relevant science, increasing research capacity, and contributing to community service activities that benefit both countries.
“This collaboration is essential to improve the quality of education and research relevant to global developments. We hope that with the closer relationship between the Undip Vocational School and the Faculty of Nature Development UNIMAS, there will be many new opportunities for mutually beneficial collaboration,” said Prof. Dr. Ir. Budiyono, Dean of the Undip Vocational School.
Meanwhile, Dr. Atta Indrawani bin Zaini stated, “This collaboration is a positive step to strengthen international relations between the two universities, which will not only enrich the academic experience of students but also provide opportunities for the development of broader research and community service.”
The signing of this LoI marks the beginning of various upcoming initiatives, including student exchange programs, collaborative research, and mutually supportive curriculum development between the two institutions.
