The Civil Infrastructure Engineering and Architectural Design Study Program of Undip Vocational School Appears at the 2026 Central Java HDII Musda

The Civil Infrastructure Engineering and Architectural Design (PILARS) Study Program, Diponegoro University’s Vocational School, actively participated in the 2026 Regional Conference (Musda) of the Indonesian Interior Designers Association (HDII) Central Java. This involvement demonstrates the study program’s commitment to supporting the development of interior design science that adapts to industry and professional needs.

As part of the Musda series of activities, the PILARS Study Program presented a flagship project, the interior design of the VOCA TV Studio. This project is the result of project-based learning implemented by students Nurun Aulia Mustofa and Sifi Erika Alfiani, under the guidance of lecturers Asri Nurdiana and Ratih Widiastuti.

The VOCA TV Studio design on display embraces a functional, modern concept, supporting the growing needs of digital media production. This work not only emphasizes aesthetics but also considers ergonomics, lighting, acoustics, and space efficiency, in accordance with broadcasting and creative content industry standards.

Participation in this exhibition provides a strategic platform for students to showcase their work to a professional audience and gain direct input from interior design practitioners and associations. This aligns with the learning approach at the Undip Vocational School, which emphasizes the integration of theory and practical experience.

The Head of the PILARS Study Program, Asri Nurdiana, stated that participation in the HDII Central Java Regional Conference (Musda) is an important step in strengthening synergy between academia and industry.

“Through this activity, we want to demonstrate that vocational students are capable of producing work that is not only creative, but also applicable and aligned with industry needs. The project-based learning we implement is an effective means of developing students’ competencies holistically, from planning and design to professional presentation,” he said.

Going forward, the PILARS Study Program at Undip Vocational School is committed to continuously improving the quality of project-based learning and expanding collaboration with various stakeholders, in order to produce graduates who are work-ready, competent, and highly competitive in the fields of infrastructure and architectural design.
